My personal story:
In 1995 I was going through a very painful breakup of a
longtime relationship. Although I had foreseen this happening
for quite some time, I was in denial, emotionally drained, and
in a deep depression. I was in one of these depressive moods and
in tears when I saw a good friend (ultimately my sponsor to YLEO)
one afternoon. She excitedly told me about the essential oils she
had been introduced to. Noticing the mental state I was in she
gave me 2-3 drops of Jasmine on my palms, told me to rub them and
then to deeply inhale the aromatic scent.
Within a few minutes I calmed down, stopped crying and even
went home in an elated state of mind. Also my anxiety and
feelings of bereavement and loss started to diminish. It was
truly amazing. Whereas before I had just been lying about the
house, that afternoon I got quite busy, did little chores and
generally felt like a functioning human being again. Although it
took time to get through the loss, the essential oil of
"Jasmine" and later Dr. Young's essential oil blends of "Joy",
"Release", "Valor" and "Forgiveness" made it easier for me and
helped me in my self-awareness to let go and start anew.
